About ECONTC

The Energy Conservation Training Company (ECONTC) was founded in 2009 in Portland Oregon. ECONTC became a Division of Applied Proactive Technologies, Inc. (APT) a Springfield, Massachusetts-based company in the fall of 2010. Jeff Catlin the founder of ECONTC remained onboard as the Director of Education Services.

Our programs are designed to help students understand how to evaluate a building's energy use, identify measures necessary to reduce energy consumption, and how to properly make those changes. ECONTC has created an effective training system; a learning experience that combines traditional classroom instruction with hands-on field training and web based curriculum.

ECONTC is a BPI Test Center and a RESNET HERS Rater Training Provider. In three years we've helped hundreds of individuals earn over 1000 professional certifications in the energy efficiency industry.
